Pilot Capless Fountain Pen in red.
A turned lacquer body with chrome trim. The Capless line opened in 1963 and in 1966 the design took the Okochi Memorial Technology Prize for the invention and for getting it into production. It writes with a Pilot nib in 18k gold rhodium plated, filled by cartridge / converter and a click-action retractable mechanism, with no cap. For reference, with a body 13 mm in diameter. Piece with official Pilot warranty.
The iconic Pilot Vanishing Point fountain pen has a carbon red body with rhodium-plated appointments and features a rhodium-plated 18-karat gold retractable nib. It actuates and retracts with a simple click, a clear sign that innovation still has a place in writing instruments. A Pilot CON-40 converter is included with this pen, as well as a Pilot ink cartridge.

Is the nib interchangeable between sizes?
All variants share the same body and only the nib size changes.
What filling system does it use?
It is filled by cartridge / converter; the makers own cartridges or converter are recommended to ensure a proper fit.
Does the nib dry out when there is no cap to close?
No. A shutter inside the head stays closed under spring pressure and the nib pushes it open on the way out, so the nib sits in a sealed chamber whenever it is retracted.
How is the lacquer cared for?
Wipe it with a soft slightly damp cloth, avoiding solvents and abrasive products.
Is the colour uniform across the whole production?
Yes, the lacquer is factory-dyed in the same tone for the entire series.
What warranty does it carry?
It includes 3 years of official Pilot warranty.

J’ai acheté le Pilot capless rouge (gamme graphite), j’en suis ravie. Je l’avais testé dans une papeterie pour la plume, ce fut un coup de cœur. Pour moi qui utilise des stylos plumes depuis 48 ans, c’est le meilleur pour la glisse sur n’importe quel papier.

El punto M es tan suave y tiene tan poco feedback, que parece un muy muy buen Rollerball. Le doy cuatro estrellas precisamente por esa falta de feedback, que es que se va sola. Para escribas con mucho control sobre su trazo y su caligrafía.
En lo que respecta a mí, estoy encantado, se maneja con una sola mano y es preciosa. Lo único es que es un plumín de deslizamiento tan rápido como suave y llega a serme dificultoso escribir a cierta velocidad sin que la caligrafía se degrade un poco.
Pero vamos, la pluma es una maravilla, estoy encantado. Por otra parte llegó en tiempo y en perfectas condiciones.
