U-Boat Classico Tungsteno Chronograph Green contrasts a polished tungsten bezel with a three-level metal dial and a red 24-hour hand.
The green metal dial is built on three levels, giving the numerals and chronograph counters a clear sense of relief. Beige Super-LumiNova defines the hands and dial details, with a red hand for the 24-hour display. The polished tungsten bezel gives the 45 mm 316L stainless steel case a bright outline.
The protected crown on the left is one of the Classico’s links to Ilvo Fontana’s unrealized 1942 naval watch drawings, revived by his grandson Italo in Lucca. On this model, a lever at 8:30 releases the crown. Seven screws secure the steel back, where a U-shaped sapphire window shows the automatic movement and skeletonized rotor. Sapphire with anti-reflective treatment also covers the dial.
A mechanical automatic chronograph movement modified to U-Boat’s specifications displays hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a 24-hour indication, with a chronograph for measuring elapsed time. It has 25 jewels and a 62-hour power reserve, and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
A laser-cut dark brown leather strap, naturally aged and handmade in Tuscany, closes with a steel pin buckle and measures 22 mm at the lugs. Water resistance is rated at 10 atm.

What can I see through the U-shaped opening?
The opening is a sapphire window set into the metal case back. It gives a view of the automatic chronograph movement and its skeletonized rotor, while seven screws secure the surrounding back.
What does the 24-hour display tell me?
It distinguishes morning from evening. The main hour hand goes around the dial twice a day, while the 24-hour hand makes one full turn; read it against its own scale to tell, for example, 4 a.m. from 4 p.m.
What does the crown-extraction lever do?
The lever between 8 and 9 o’clock releases the protected crown on the left side of the case. The chronograph is operated with its separate pushers.
