U-Boat Classico U-47 AS1 8105 pairs a broad black dial with a 47 mm steel case, keeping the protected left-side crown central to its design.
Large numerals and a wide black dial give the U-47 its military-inspired character. They express Italo Fontana’s approach to the Classico through straightforward shapes and an open layout, with the protected crown on the left providing the collection’s most recognizable detail. Beige Super-LumiNova defines the hands, numerals, and hour markers, while a visible ruby adds a small red accent to the face.
The 47 mm case is made of 316L stainless steel with a satin finish applied by hand. Anti-reflective sapphire covers the dial, which displays hours, minutes, seconds, and date. Inside, the automatic movement has 25 jewels, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides a 38-hour power reserve. A sapphire window in the screw-fastened back lets you see the movement from the other side.
Brown leather gives the steel case a warmer counterpart. The strap is laser-cut, naturally aged, and handmade in Tuscany, with a worn-in surface that suits the dial’s beige details. It measures 23 mm at the watch and narrows to 22 mm at the stainless steel pin buckle. Made in Italy, the watch is water-resistant to 10 atm.

Can I see the movement through the back?
Yes. A sapphire window in the screw-fastened back reveals the automatic movement. The sapphire over the dial has an anti-reflective treatment for viewing the time from the front.
What does the 38-hour power reserve mean?
Once fully wound, the movement can run for about 38 hours without further winding. Normal wrist movement winds the automatic mechanism while you wear it.
