Ball Engineer III Outlier GMT combines a black dial, three time zones, and an independently adjustable local hour hand in a 40 mm steel case.
The Ball Manufacture RRM7337-C caliber has an independently adjustable local hour hand. It moves in one-hour steps, with the date following it, while the GMT hand and seconds continue running undisturbed. A bidirectional 24-hour bezel adds a third zone to the local and GMT readings. You can keep home time on the GMT hand, change local time at your destination, and use the bezel for another location. This edition is limited to 1,000 watches.
A ceramic bezel surrounds the black dial, with Super-LumiNova markings around the separate GMT scale. Twenty-nine sealed tritium tubes on the hands and dial glow without an external charge; the bezel’s luminous coating is activated by light. The ceramic insert also resists scratching and ultraviolet color fading.
The COSC-certified automatic movement is housed in a 904L stainless steel case measuring 40 mm across and 13.8 mm thick. Within it, a mu-metal shield made from nickel, iron, copper, and molybdenum diverts static and low-frequency magnetic fields around the movement. Magnetic resistance is rated to 80,000 A/m (1,000 gauss). A protective Amortiser ring absorbs lateral shocks, adding physical protection around the shielded mechanism.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the black dial and magnified date. A screw-down crown closes the case, which is water-resistant to 20 atm. The watch is shock-resistant to 5,000 Gs and comes on a 20 mm 904L stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp.

How do I read the three time zones?
The main hands show local time. The GMT hand reads a second zone against the fixed 24-hour scale. Turning the bidirectional 24-hour bezel creates another reference for that same GMT hand, giving a third time-zone reading.
How does the independent local hour hand help when traveling?
Use the crown to move the local 12-hour hand in one-hour steps. The GMT hand keeps its existing reading and the seconds continue running, so home time is undisturbed. The date follows local time as the hour hand moves. This travel-oriented arrangement is often called a true GMT.
How do the dial and bezel stay readable after dark?
The ceramic bezel uses light-charged Super-LumiNova markings. The 29 tritium tubes on the hands and dial supply their own continuous light. Tritium inside each sealed glass tube activates a luminous coating continuously, without a battery or prior exposure to light. The glow gradually fades as the tritium decays, with a half-life of about 12.3 years.
How do Amortiser and the magnetic shield protect the Outlier GMT?
Amortiser surrounds the movement with a protective ring that absorbs energy from lateral shocks. A mu-metal shield redirects static and low-frequency magnetic fields around it, helping keep them from disturbing its rate. The watch is rated to 80,000 A/m (1,000 gauss); stronger magnetic fields can exceed that protection.
What does COSC certification mean for this movement?
It passed independent chronometer testing over 15 days, in five positions and at three temperatures. The permitted average daily rate during the test is -4 to +6 seconds. This traditional test is performed before the movement is cased, so the watch’s rate in daily wear can vary.
