Vostok Europe N1 Rocket Automatic Watch with Black Dial.
The N1 Rocket line is named for the Soviet super-heavy launcher built to carry cosmonauts to the Moon, Mars and Venus on 5 stages, the first a cluster of 30 engines. The N1 Rocket Automatic shows its movement through a window in the case back. The case measures 46 mm in stainless steel 316L, 17 mm deep.
The TMI NH35 automatic calibre, made in Japan, drives hours, minutes, seconds and date, with hacking seconds and manual winding, beneath a hardened K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating. A full wind holds 41 hours. The crown screws down inside a polygonal unidirectional bezel with a diver scale.
The black dial carries Super-LumiNova on the hands, the dial and the bezel. Delivered with a leather strap, 22 mm at the lugs, closed by a buckle.

What was the N1 rocket?
The Soviet super-heavy launcher built to carry cosmonauts to the Moon, Mars and Venus and to lift large space stations into orbit. It stood on 5 stages, and the first was a cluster of 30 engines burning kerosene and liquid oxygen. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, on Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese movements since.
What can you see through the case back?
The movement from the bridge side, with the rotor that winds the mainspring as the wrist moves and the balance swinging beside it.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral glass with a scratch resistance close to sapphire. On these cases it carries an anti-reflective coating for readability.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs decides that, and here it is 55.4 mm. That span sits across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 46 mm of the case.
Who makes the movement?
Time Module Inc. in Japan, the TMI of the reference. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese automatic calibre.
