A ruby sphere travels through a golden labyrinth inside the Visconti Maze fountain pen, turning the Minotaur's myth into a game within a clear barrel.
Inside the transparent acrylic resin barrel, a small ruby sphere follows the golden labyrinth toward a central plaza in aged bronze. A golden Minotaur head at the barrel end depicts the guardian of the labyrinth in the legend of Theseus and Ariadne. The journey starts at its mouth and begins again there if the sphere falls into the maze's recesses.
Red enamel fills the cap's engraving, echoing the ruby sphere. The rings, grip section, and nib collar are aged bronze, with gold PVD-finished trim, a gold-plated clip, and a red-enameled Visconti logo completing the design.
Made in Italy and limited to 188 pens, the fountain pen has an 18k yellow gold nib, a slender Power Filler for bottled ink, and a screw-on cap. It measures 151 mm closed, with an 18.5 mm barrel width, and weighs 77.20 g with the cap or 48 g without it.
