Victorinox Maverick Small Black Edition Quartz Watch with Black Dial.
The Maverick line is diving-inspired, with a unidirectional rotating bezel on a count-up scale, the function divers use to record elapsed time underwater. The Maverick Small keeps the rotating bezel and count-up scale in the smaller case of the line, 34 mm in diameter and in 316L stainless steel.
A Swiss Ronda 705 quartz movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds and date beneath an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, sealed by a guarded crown and a screw-in case back.
Circular-brushed, the black dial carries a 24-hour military time track and Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes, while the Black Edition finishes the case in black PVD. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap on a buckle.

How do you use the count-up bezel?
Turn the bezel until its zero sits over the minute hand at the start. The minute hand then reads the elapsed time off the scale, and because the bezel turns in a single direction, a knock can only make the count look longer.
How long does the battery last?
Victorinox fits mercury-free batteries with an estimated lifespan of 2 years, a choice that leaves the precision and efficiency of the quartz movement unchanged.
How does the Super-LumiNova glow work?
It is a non-radioactive, non-toxic pigment that stores light and releases it in the dark. It is brightest just after daylight and fades gradually over the night, then recharges the next time it sees light.
How is the crystal made?
It is cut from a polished slice of solid sapphire, which sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, and Victorinox triple-coats its inner side with an anti-reflective treatment to keep the dial legible.
What is the PVD coating?
Physical vapor deposition. A titanium coating is condensed onto the steel from a metal vapor in a partial vacuum, and on gold tones Victorinox adds a thin layer of gold powder for a longer-lasting finish than gold plating.
