Victorinox I.N.O.X. Chrono Quartz Watch with Black Dial.
Built for strength and resilience, the I.N.O.X. line comes in cases of steel, titanium and carbon. The chronograph of the line is the I.N.O.X. Chrono, cased in recycled stainless steel with an anti-scratch coating on the bezel. That stainless steel case measures 43 mm in diameter and 13 mm in thickness.
Hours, minutes, seconds, day and date come from a Swiss Ronda 5040.E quartz movement, which also runs a chronograph counting minutes, seconds and 1/10 of a second beneath a sapphire crystal. A protected screw-down crown and a screw-in case back close a case certified to ISO 764 for antimagnetism, ISO 1413 for shock and ISO 22810 for water resistance.
The black dial is grainy and built in three dimensions around the sub-dials, with Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes, and a tachymeter scale engraved on the inner bezel. The watch comes on a black rubber strap measuring 21 mm at the lugs, closed by a buckle.

Where does the name I.N.O.X. come from?
From inox, stainless steel. When it reached Victorinox in 1921 the word was joined to Victoria, the name of the founder’s mother, to form the company name, and the line takes the word back to the material. Victorinox engineers, manufactures and assembles its watches at its Watch Competence Center in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura, and tests every watch individually for water resistance.
How do you use the chronograph?
Pusher F starts and stops the timing, and the minutes, seconds and tenths of a second read off the three chronograph hands. Pusher G takes a split time or returns all three hands to zero.
How long does the battery last?
Victorinox fits mercury-free batteries with an estimated lifespan of 2 years, a choice that leaves the precision and efficiency of the quartz movement unchanged.
How does the Super-LumiNova glow work?
It is a non-radioactive, non-toxic pigment that stores light and releases it in the dark. It is brightest just after daylight and fades gradually over the night, then recharges the next time it sees light.
How is the crystal made?
It is cut from a polished slice of solid sapphire, which sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, and Victorinox triple-coats its inner side with an anti-reflective treatment to keep the dial legible.
