Venezianico Nereide Turchese sets a natural, irregularly veined turquoise dial in a polished tungsten bezel and pairs it with a matching rubber strap.
Natural turquoise
Turquoise’s opaque blue-green surface forms the dial itself. The stone is cold-cut into a thin slab, finished with fine abrasives, and polished. A 0.4 mm layer is then mounted on brass. The veining varies from dial to dial.
Along the trade routes
Turquoise reached Venice along trade routes linking Persia, Central Asia, and the Mediterranean. Valued for its vivid color and protective symbolism, it was worked into jewelry and decorative objects.
A polished tungsten bezel
The 120-click rotating bezel has a polished tungsten insert. Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova, charged by daylight or artificial light, helps you read the time in the dark.
The details
The Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement shows hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. The 316L stainless steel case measures 42 mm across, 49 mm lug to lug, and 12.5 mm thick.
An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, the crown screws down, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters. The integrated turquoise rubber strap follows the lines of the case and fastens with a pin buckle. The line takes its name from the Nereide, a submarine built in Venice in 1919 and part of the city’s naval history.

What does the name Nereide refer to?
It was the name of a submarine built in Venice between 1911 and 1913. Its naval engineering history inspired the collection’s maritime design and rotating bezels.
Will the dial match the photograph exactly?
No. The turquoise surface has natural variations in pattern and tone, so the photograph illustrates the model rather than the exact dial you will receive.
Why use tungsten for the bezel insert?
The polished tungsten insert is highly scratch-resistant, helping it retain its finish during everyday wear. It is a separate component from the case and still needs protection from hard impacts.
How does the rotating bezel measure elapsed time?
Align the bezel’s reference marker with the minute hand at the start of an interval. As the hand advances, the scale shows elapsed minutes. With 120 clicks around a 60-minute scale, each click corresponds to half a minute. The bezel measures time independently of the movement.
How is the thin stone dial constructed?
A 0.4 mm layer of the natural stone is mounted on a brass base. The brass supports the thin slice while leaving its natural pattern visible across the dial.
