Venezianico Arsenale Platino pairs a rippled, platinum-plated dial with a Swiss Soprod V3250 movement, in a watch assembled and regulated in Italy.
A platinum-plated dial
The silver-tone dial starts as a brass disc, tumbled into an irregular texture and then polished. A fine galvanic layer of platinum follows every ripple, so the texture catches the light. The logo and hour markers are applied by hand. Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova on the hands and markers helps you read the time in low light.
Assembled by a master watchmaker
Master watchmaker Daniele Zorzetto assembles the watch at Venezianico’s Italian atelier. He regulates it to within the brand’s stated tolerance of -4/+6 seconds per day. A sapphire exhibition back, held by six screws, shows the sandblasted bridges and rhodium-plated skeletonized rotor.
Platinum and Venice
In 1557, the physician and humanist Giulio Cesare Scaliger, active in the Venetian Republic, described an unfamiliar metal that resisted melting. His account is one of the earliest European references to platinum. Here, platinum covers the dial, while the case is stainless steel.
The details
Soprod builds the V3250 in Switzerland on its M100 base. This three-hand automatic, with no date, has 25 jewels, Incabloc shock protection, and a 42-hour power reserve. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
The 316L stainless steel case measures 40 mm across, 44 mm lug to lug, and 9.95 mm thick. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial, and water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The mirror-polished knurled bezel recalls the crenellated towers of the Arsenale, Venice’s historic shipyard. Vertical brushing and polished bevels continue onto the integrated Canova Concept™ steel bracelet, which closes with a folding clasp.
The name comes from the Arsenale, the Venetian Republic’s shipyard. Its specialized workshops built and fitted out ships in sequence, supplying the fleet long before modern factories. The collection takes its design inspiration from that history of shipbuilding and metalworking.
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
Soprod manufactures the V3250 in Switzerland on its M100 base. Venezianico specifies the finishing and regulation for its watches. The movement is Swiss, while the watch is made in Italy.
No. It has a brass base textured by tumbling and finished with a galvanic platinum coating. The fine layer follows the rippled surface, preserving its texture beneath the silver-colored finish.
