Additional information:
  • The Pelikan Souverän M 805 is considered one of the largest models of the brand. It has an 18-karat gold nib. The material of the piece follows a very laborious production, a special Pelikan formula, from a cotton material.

Pelikan Souverän M805

My new favorite Pelikan. The size is better in my hand than my M1000. The nib is the smoothest of any Pelikan I have used (M200, M600, M605, M805, M1000). It is not as wet as the nib of the M1000 EF and writes a similar (slightly finer) line even though the M805 is a Fine. I like the heft, both posted and not. And the blue, black, and chrome together are modern, yet timeless -- and just plain yummy.

Love the new Pen

Best pin I have ever owned. Thank you for the fast service, and easy transaction. Will order again in the future.

Just Short of 5 Stars

I wanted to love this pen; and to some extent, it is everything I thought it would be! Aesthetically beautiful, great quality, writes like butter with little feedback, ink flow a little on the wetter side — which for me is a good thing and with NO skipping.

So, why is it short? The fine point nib that I ordered writes more like a strong medium nib, and because it writes like butter, I have to train myself to control the pen differently to ensure the type of penmanship I normally produce with a fine point fountain pen.

Is it worth it? Hard to say—to each their own. I am happy to have the pen as part of my collection, but I don’t see myself burying another Pelikan at this price range.

As for the company web experience, purchase and follow up — 5 stars!!
