This pen is wonderful to write with. I got a medium nib and it is buttery smooth. It glides on the page without much effort. I received this pen almost at the same time as I got "finally" my Nakaya cigar piccolo from Japan. Both are beautiful pens and I find myself liking the Namiki Chinkin nib over the Nakaya's. It is hard to describe the feeling of writing with the Namiki nib, it has almost a zen-like, peacefully tranquil feeling writing with it. But in terms of aesthetics, I prefer the Nakaya in its simplicity. The size of the Namki Chinkin is perfect for my hand - which is small. If you can buy a Namiki Chinkin, I highly recommend it.
