Mondaine Evo2 Automatic Watch with White Dial.
The evo2 line redraws the 1944 Swiss Federal Railways clock as an organic, slightly rounded case that flows into the strap. The evo2 Automatic sets the red seconds hand of the station clock on a white dial, within a polished 316L stainless steel case of 40 mm in diameter.
A Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement displays the hours, minutes and seconds beneath a slightly domed sapphire crystal. The crown closes on a gasket, and a see-through 316L case back opens onto the movement.
A black leather strap, 20 mm at the lugs, closes on a pin buckle.

Who designed the Mondaine dial?
Hans Hilfiker, an engineer and employee of the Swiss Federal Railways, created the station clock in 1944, with a red second hand taken from the dispatcher’s trowel. Mondaine, founded by Erwin Bernheim in 1951, brought it to the wrist in 1986 under an official SBB license.
How does the automatic movement wind?
The rotor behind the see-through case back turns as the wrist moves and winds the movement, and the crown winds it by hand as well.
Can I wear it in the shower?
The case is rated to 5 ATM, or 50 m, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep the watch to rain and hand-washing, and fit a steel or silicone strap of the same lug width before a shower or a swim.
Why sapphire crystal?
It is made by crystallizing pure aluminum oxide at a very high temperature, which makes it very hard and highly resistant to scratches in daily wear.
