Vostok Europe Jurgis Kairys Unlimited Aerobatics Quartz Chronograph Watch with Black Dial.
The Jurgis Kairys line is developed with the Lithuanian aerobatic pilot and multiple World Grand Prix of Aerobatics champion. Its colors are drawn from his SU-31. The Jurgis Kairys Meca-Quartz has a mechanically resetting chronograph, and each of its 500 pieces is individually numbered. The stainless steel 316L case measures 43 mm in diameter and 15.3 mm thick.
Made in Japan, the TMI VK68 meca-quartz chronograph caliber powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a 24-hour indicator. A domed K1 crystal with anti-reflective coating covers the dial. The watch has a solid case back and a fixed bezel.
The matte black dial sits in a case finished in black PVD. Super-LumiNova coats the hands and indices. The watch includes a red and black silicone strap inspired by the pilot's SU-31, measuring 22 mm at the lugs and fastening with a buckle.

Who is Jurgis Kairys?
A Lithuanian aerobatic pilot and aeronautical engineer, multiple World Grand Prix of Aerobatics overall champion and the first pilot to perform the Cobra in a fixed-wing aircraft. The strap draws its colors from the livery of his SU-31. Vostok Europe has built its watches in Vilnius, Lithuania, since August 2003, using Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese movements since.
What is a meca-quartz chronograph?
A quartz caliber with a mechanically driven chronograph module. Quartz keeps the time, and the central chronograph hand is actuated mechanically, allowing it to reset instantly to zero.
What is K1 crystal?
A synthetic crystal that combines the shock resistance of hardened mineral glass with scratch resistance close to that of sapphire. On these cases, it has an anti-reflective coating to improve readability.
Does it wear as big as the diameter suggests?
The distance between the lugs determines that, and here it measures 52.6 mm. That span extends across the top of the wrist and matters more than the 43 mm case diameter.
Who makes the movement?
Time Module Inc. in Japan, abbreviated as TMI in the reference. Vostok Europe used Russian movements until 2014 and Japanese suppliers since, so the case is assembled in Lithuania around a Japanese quartz caliber.
