Bauhaus Classic Big Day Automatic Watch with White Dial.
The Classic line follows the Bauhaus school, founded in Weimar in 1919, in reducing form and colour to the essentials on polished cases. This Classic Big Day reads the day of the week in a large window at 12 o’clock, in a rounded case under a rounded crystal. The case measures 41 mm in stainless steel, 12 mm deep.
The Japanese Miyota 8285 automatic calibre is protected by K1 safety mineral glass. A see-through case back shows the rotor that winds its 42-hour power reserve.
Black numerals and indices mark the white dial, with bicolour hands. A dark brown handmade Italian leather strap embossed with the Bauhaus name, 20 mm at the lugs, closes on a pin buckle.

Why is the brand called Bauhaus?
Its watches are assembled in Ruhla, Thuringia, in a building raised in the Bauhaus style in 1929 to designs by the Jena architects Schreiter & Schlag. The school moved from Weimar to Dessau in 1925 and was dissolved in 1933 by its last director, Mies van der Rohe.
Where is it made?
In Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892, and where the VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once built millions of watches. POINTtec, the family company founded in 1987 that designs every model in-house, assembles them in its own listed Bauhaus building of 1929, home also to the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Japanese.
Why is the day shown so large?
The day of the week has its own large window at 12 o’clock so it reads at a glance, and the date keeps a separate window.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated 5 bar, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep it to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
How long does it keep going off the wrist?
About 42 hours from a full wind. Daily wear keeps it wound, and after a longer rest about 15 turns of the crown restart it.

Really happy with my purchase of the Bauhaus automatic watch with day and date display. I had been looking everywhere for an auto watch with day display specifically and this one includes it tastefully and beautifully. Watch keeps time impeccably after 2 weeks. Leather band is good quality though I immediately changed it out for a nato band (personal preference). As a previous review has stated, the rotor can be quite loud but this is not something that concerns or bothers me, especially for the convenience of never having to worry about changing batteries. Have received several compliments on it already and would recommend the seller as they exhibited high communication, excellent variety of product, good prices and fast/safe shipping. Love my new watch, thanks Iguanasell team.

I am very happy with both the watch and the customer service received from Iguana Sell. The watch is unique, handsome, and very versatile with the day date complication. It would serve well as either an everyday watch or a dress watch. Mine runs about +7 seconds a day so far, which is fine for a watch of this cost. The leather strap is actually very nice, which is an anomoly for a watch in this price range. It might bother some that the rotor on this watch is pretty loud (especially on a NATO), but I do not care. I wish the watch had more than 50M of water resistance.

The watch is beautiful and I have enjoyed it most of the time. Unfortunately from time to time it stops spontaneously - possibly because the second and minute hand are interfering with each other. Also the power reserve is only for about 10 hrs. I have just contacted the manufacturer letting hem know about these problems.
