Briston Clubmaster Legend Small Second Automatic Watch with White Dial.
Clubmaster Legend combines the cambered square Clubmaster case with a 316L screw-down case back and a screw-down crown engraved with the Briston crest. The Legend Small Second displays the seconds on a subdial at 6 o’clock, framed by a bidirectional bezel with a 12-hour scale and a triangle marker.
A black bezel frames the silvered white dial, with its black numerals and brushed steel small seconds hand. Super-LumiNova C1 inserts mark the brushed steel baton hands. For the strap, Briston uses matte black vintage calf leather in 2 parts, measuring 20 mm wide and fastening with a polished steel folding buckle.
The 39 mm cellulose acetate and stainless steel case, 12.9 mm thick, houses the Japanese Miyota 82S5 automatic caliber, which powers the hours, minutes, and small seconds beneath a domed sapphire crystal. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a 42-hour power reserve. An open-heart window in the case back reveals the movement.

Who makes Briston watches?
Briston is an independent French watch brand founded by Brice Jaunet in 2013. Its first collection, the Clubmaster, brought tortoiseshell acetate, until then used in eyewear, to the watch case.
What is the 12-hour bezel for?
Rotate the bidirectional bezel by the time difference, then read a second time zone using the hour hand and the bezel’s 12-hour scale. The triangle serves as the reference marker.
How water resistant is it?
According to the Briston manual, its 5 ATM, or 50 m, rating is intended for moderate water exposure, such as hand-washing, rain, or showering.
How long will the watch run without being worn?
About 42 hours when fully wound. Wearing the watch keeps it wound. After a longer period off the wrist, unscrew the crown and turn it a few times to restart the movement.
What is cellulose acetate?
Cellulose acetate is a refined natural material widely used in eyewear and a signature of Briston cases. Mazzucchelli makes the acetate in Italy and polishes it by hand, drawing on expertise passed down through 6 generations.
