Ball Roadmaster Pilot GMT Automatic Watch with White Dial.
Roadmaster combines Engineer protection with specialized instruments for tide tables, pulsometers, triple time zones, and moon phases, each designed for a specific task. Limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide, the Pilot GMT uses a bidirectional bezel to display a second and third time zone, with a titanium case measuring 40 mm in diameter and 14 mm thick.
The Ball RR1204-C is a self-winding caliber. The hands, indices, and bezel are continuously lit by 27 sealed glass tubes of tritium gas, each self-powered for 25 years, so the entire display can be read at a glance in the dark. The case provides shock resistance to 5,000 Gs and magnetic protection to 4,800 A/m.

How does the brightness of the gas tubes change over time?
The 27 tubes contain tritium gas, which emits light continuously through radioactive decay using its own energy. Tritium has a half-life of 12.3 years, so the glow gradually fades. Ball rates the tubes for at least 25 years of useful legibility.
What magnetic protection does the watch provide?
The case provides magnetic protection to 4,800 A/m, which covers everyday magnetic sources that can affect a mechanical watch's rate.
What is the difference between the GMT hand and the bezel?
The central hands show local time, the GMT hand reads a second zone against the 24-hour scale, and turning the bezel sets a third. All three zones can be read at once on the same dial.
What does 30 atm water resistance offer beyond diving?
The rating affects the seals, crown, and case back. A case rated to 30 atm keeps water out through years of showers, swimming and the pressure changes of a flight, long after the gaskets of a lighter case have hardened.
Does the crown screw down?
Yes. It threads into the case and compresses its gasket to maintain water resistance. Unscrew it to set the time, and screw it back down before exposing the watch to water.
