U-Boat cuts and finishes its straps in Tuscany by hand, on the lug widths its own cases carry, so the fit is the one the watch was drawn for. This one is cut and finished by hand in calf leather.
It measures 22 mm between the lugs and narrows to 20 mm at the buckle. The 2 sides run 138 mm and 85 mm from the case.
It is black. The lining is treated to shed water. This is the XL cut, made longer on both sides. It is cut at 22 mm where it meets the case, and that measurement is the one that has to match.

Will this fit my watch?
Measure the gap between the lugs of your case. This one is cut for 22 mm, and the fit is a match of that measurement alone, so any U-Boat reference with the same lug spacing takes it.
What is the second measurement in the width?
The first figure is the width at the lugs and the second is the width at the buckle. This one runs 22 mm at the case and tapers to 20 mm, which is what keeps the buckle from sitting proud under a cuff.
How long is it?
The 2 sides measure 138 mm and 85 mm from the case, the longer one carrying the buckle. Add the width of your case to the pair to compare it against a strap you already wear.
Can it get wet?
The lining is treated to shed water, so rain and a wet forearm are within what the strap is built for. Leather still asks to be dried in the air afterwards, away from a radiator.
Why are the ends curved?
A round case leaves a gap where a straight strap end meets it. The curve is cut to the radius of the case so the leather meets the metal along its whole edge, which is what makes the strap read as part of the watch.
