Venezianico Redentore 36 Automatic Watch with Silver Dial.
The Redentore line takes its name from the Basilica del Redentore, the Venetian masterpiece of Andrea Palladio, and every case back in the line carries the church engraved. This one holds the line at 36 mm and runs the rose gold in 2 tones, over the bezel and down the centre of the bracelet. The case measures 36 mm in stainless steel 316L, 10.4 mm deep.
The NH35A winds itself from the motion of the wrist.
The brushing on the silver dial runs outwards from the centre, so a band of light travels across it as the wrist turns. The rose gold is held to the bezel and to the centre of each link, so it frames the dial and runs down the middle of the bracelet while the rest stays steel. It is worn on the Canova bracelet in steel and rose gold.

What is the Basilica del Redentore?
The church Andrea Palladio raised on the Giudecca in Venice, the work that carried the neoclassical line into architecture. Every case back in this line carries it engraved, which is where the collection takes its proportions and its name. Venezianico was started in late 2017 by the brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli while they were studying at Ca’ Foscari in Venice, and it works out of San Donà di Piave.
How is the rose gold applied?
As a layer bonded to the steel, held to the bezel and to the centre link of each row of the bracelet. It puts the gold where the eye lands and leaves the steel to take the daily knocks, which is what holds a watch of this finish at this price.
What do you do if it has stopped?
Turn the crown about 20 times to put some wind in the mainspring, set the time, and put it on. From there the weight inside keeps it wound as long as you wear it most days.
How hard is the sapphire crystal?
Synthetic sapphire sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, so the everyday abrasives that mark a mineral crystal leave it alone. It is brittle in exchange, so a sharp impact on the edge is what to avoid.
Who makes the movement?
Seiko Instruments in Japan, the arm that supplies movements to other houses under the NH and NE references. They are built to be serviced anywhere, which is what keeps a mechanical watch running 30 years on.
