Venezianico Arsenale Moissanite Automatic Watch with Light Blue Dial.
The Arsenale line takes its name from the Venetian Arsenal, the shipyard where the Republic ran shipbuilding in sequence centuries before the assembly line, and it holds the thinnest cases of the house. This one sets baguette-cut moissanite around the bezel by hand and repeats the stones at the markers of a mother-of-pearl dial. The case measures 37 mm in stainless steel 316L, 9 mm deep.
The Miyota 9039 winds itself from the motion of the wrist.
The nacre is cut from shell, so the light blue dial shifts through its own iridescence as the angle changes and no 2 pieces read the same. The stones are cut as baguettes and set into the bezel by hand, one at a time. It is worn on the Canova bracelet in steel.

What was the Venetian Arsenal?
The shipyard of the Republic, where hulls moved between stations and were fitted out in sequence centuries before anyone wrote down the idea of an assembly line. The line takes from it a case held to 8.95 mm and a bracelet that runs straight into the lugs. Venezianico was started in late 2017 by the brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli while they were studying at Ca’ Foscari in Venice, and it works out of San Donà di Piave.
Will the dial look exactly like the photograph?
The pattern on it is cut from a natural material, so the veining, the figure and the distribution of light differ from one piece to the next. The colour and the finish match the photograph. The grain is proper to the piece you receive.
Are the stones on the bezel diamonds?
They are moissanite, silicon carbide grown in a laboratory and cut as baguettes. It sits at 9.25 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, and it throws more fire than diamond does, which is what holds this piece at its price.
What do you do if it has stopped?
Turn the crown about 20 times to put some wind in the mainspring, set the time, and put it on. From there the weight inside keeps it wound as long as you wear it most days.
How hard is the sapphire crystal?
Synthetic sapphire sits at 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, so the everyday abrasives that mark a mineral crystal leave it alone. It is brittle in exchange, so a sharp impact on the edge is what to avoid.
