U-Boat Darkmoon Soleil Green 44 SS surrounds its green dial with oil, giving the display depth beneath a domed sapphire crystal in a 44 mm case.
Seen through oil, the green metal dial has a depth that makes the sapphire crystal above it appear almost absent. Fine sunray brushing catches the light across the green surface, changing its reflections as the watch moves. Super-LumiNova marks the hands and hour markers, glowing in low light after exposure to a light source.
The oil surrounds the dial and the Swiss Ronda 712.3 quartz movement. A visible air bubble moves as the watch changes position, leaving room for the oil to expand or contract with temperature. The 44 mm case is made of 316L stainless steel. Domed sapphire covers the display, and the screw-down crown with its double security system sits on the left. The Locking Ring System on the back provides access for battery replacement.
The black vulcanized rubber strap bears a raised U-Boat logo and measures 22 mm at the watch, fastening with a steel pin buckle. Water resistance is rated at 5 atm. When the watch is off your wrist, U-Boat specifies a temperature range of 0–60 °C.

Why does a bubble move across the dial?
The bubble is an intentional part of the oil-filled construction. It leaves room for the oil to change volume with temperature and moves as the watch changes position.
What does the Soleil finish add to the dial?

How are battery replacement and oil servicing handled?
The Locking Ring System has a compartment for battery access. Oil adjustment uses a separate service opening and is reserved for U-Boat’s specialized technicians, so the two operations should not be treated as the same procedure.
