Bauhaus Aviation Tornado Automatic Power Reserve Watch with Black Dial.
The Aviation Tornado line consists of satin-finished pilot’s watches made under official license for the Tornado aircraft, which first flew in 1974. The Tornado Power Reserve displays the hours of power remaining in the mainspring beside a small seconds subdial. The stainless steel case measures 42 mm and is 15 mm thick.
The Japanese Miyota 9132 automatic caliber drives a date display and is protected by sapphire crystal. A see-through case back reveals the winding rotor. The movement has a 40-hour power reserve.
White numerals and indices mark the black dial, with luminous hands. A brown leather strap, 22 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle.

Is the Tornado name official?
Yes. The line is made under official license for the Tornado, and the aircraft’s name is printed on the dial.
Where is it made?
In Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892. The VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once produced millions of watches there. POINTtec, a family company founded in 1987, designs every model in-house and assembles the watches in its own listed Bauhaus building, built in 1929. The building also houses the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Japanese.
How is the power reserve read?
The indicator hand shows approximately how many hours of power remain in the mainspring. It falls as the mainspring unwinds and rises as you wear the watch or turn the crown.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated 5 bar, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep it to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
How long will it run off the wrist?
About 40 hours from a full wind. Daily wear keeps it wound. After a longer rest, about 15 turns of the crown will restart it.
