Bauhaus Dessau Automatic Chronograph Watch with White Dial.
The Dessau line applies the functional design of the Bauhaus school, based in Dessau from 1925 to 1932, to classic analogue dials in polished cases. This Dessau Chronograph combines self-winding timing with day, date and small seconds. The case measures 42 mm in stainless steel, 14 mm deep.
The Swiss Sellita SW500 automatic calibre counts 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours on its subdials, and is protected by K1 safety mineral glass. A see-through case back shows the rotor that winds its 60-hour power reserve.
Rose gold numerals and indices mark the white dial, with luminous hands and luminous points. A light brown leather strap, 22 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle.

What links the Dessau line to the Bauhaus?
Its reduced, functional dials follow the Bauhaus school, and the watches are assembled in a 1929 Bauhaus building in Ruhla. The school was founded in Weimar in 1919 and dissolved in 1933 by its last director, Mies van der Rohe.
Where is it made?
In Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892, and where the VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once built millions of watches. POINTtec, the family company founded in 1987 that designs every model in-house, assembles them in its own listed Bauhaus building of 1929, home also to the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Swiss.
How does the chronograph work?
The upper pusher starts and stops the timing and the lower pusher returns the hands to zero, while the day, the date and the small seconds keep their own displays.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated 5 bar, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep it to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
How long does it keep going off the wrist?
About 60 hours from a full wind. Daily wear keeps it wound, and after a longer rest about 15 turns of the crown restart it.
