Bauhaus Dessau Automatic Watch with Green Dial.
The functional design of the Bauhaus school, based in Dessau from 1925 to 1932, shapes the classic analog dials and polished cases of the Dessau line. The Dessau Automatic keeps to three hands and a date, in a stainless steel case 40 mm in diameter and 11 mm thick.
The watch is powered by a Japanese Miyota 8215 automatic movement, protected by a K1 safety mineral crystal, and a see-through case back reveals the rotor, which winds a 40-hour power reserve.
Gold-colored numerals and indices mark the dark green dial, complemented by luminous hands, and a light brown leather strap measuring 20 mm at the lugs closes with a pin buckle.

What links the Dessau line to the Bauhaus?
Its reduced, functional dials follow the Bauhaus school, and the watches are assembled in a 1929 Bauhaus building in Ruhla. The school was founded in Weimar in 1919 and dissolved in 1933 by its last director, Mies van der Rohe.
Where is it made?
In Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892, and where the VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once built millions of watches. POINTtec, the family company founded in 1987 that designs every model in-house, assembles them in its own listed Bauhaus building of 1929, which is also home to the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Japanese.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated to 5 bar, and the leather strap sets the limit — water and sweat soak into leather and break it down. Keep the watch to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
How long does it run when it is not worn?
A full wind delivers about a 40-hour power reserve. Daily wear keeps it wound, and after a longer rest about 15 turns of the crown restart it.
What is K1 mineral crystal?
A specially hardened mineral crystal that Bauhaus uses for its scratch resistance in daily wear. It is tougher than standard mineral crystal, and sapphire is harder still.
