Bauhaus Aviation G38 Quartz Chronograph Watch with Beige Dial.
Aviation G38 combines polished pilot’s watch cases with silver night-glow numerals and indices on every dial. Quartz chronograph counters and a date display sit among these numerals.
The beige dial also features luminous hands. The brown leather strap, 22 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle.
The 42 mm stainless steel case is 12 mm thick. The Japanese Miyota 6S20 quartz caliber measures intervals of up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds with 1/20-second precision. K1 safety mineral glass protects the watch. The battery lasts about 2 years before it needs replacement by a watchmaker.

What kind of watch is the Aviation G38?
An analog pilot’s watch from the Aviation line, with silver numerals and indices that glow at night and luminous hands on every dial of the line.
Where is it made?
The watch is made in Ruhla, Thuringia, where precision parts have been made since 1862 and watches since 1892. The VEB Uhrenwerk Ruhla once produced millions of watches there. POINTtec, a family company founded in 1987, designs every model in-house and assembles the watches in its own heritage-listed Bauhaus building, constructed in 1929. The building also houses the Ruhla watch museum. The movement is Japanese.
How does the chronograph work?
The upper pusher starts and stops the timing and the lower pusher resets it. Minutes counted by the central hand are recorded on their own subdial.
Can I swim with it?
The case is rated 10 bar, enough for swimming, and the leather strap sets the limit — water soaks into leather and breaks it down. Keep it to rain and hand-washing, and fit a rubber or metal strap of the same lug width before swimming.
What is K1 mineral glass?
A specially hardened mineral glass that Bauhaus uses for its scratch resistance in daily wear. It is tougher than standard mineral glass, and sapphire is harder still.
