A traveler’s GMT
The central GMT hand reads a second time zone against a 24-hour scale. On the Miyota 9075, you can move the local hour hand in one-hour jumps without stopping the watch, so resetting it on arrival takes seconds.
Named for LZ 129 Hindenburg
LZ 129 Hindenburg entered service in 1936. Along with its sister ship, LZ 130, it was the largest rigid airship ever built, at 804 feet (245 meters) long.
The details
The Japanese Miyota 9075 automatic movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and GMT hand. It provides a 42-hour power reserve. The stainless steel case measures 42 mm across and 14 mm thick, and a hardened K1 mineral crystal covers the dial. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The blue leather strap fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Germany.

How does the GMT work on a trip?
On arrival, you move the local hour hand in one-hour steps to the new time. The GMT hand keeps showing home time on the 24-hour scale.
What is the power reserve?
About 42 hours when fully wound. Daily wear keeps the mainspring wound. After a longer period off the wrist, a few turns of the crown will restart it.
What is K1 crystal?
K1 is mineral glass that has been heat-treated to harden it, so it resists scratches and impacts better than standard mineral glass. A deep scratch can’t be polished out, though.
How big is the case?
It measures 42 mm across and 14 mm thick.
How water resistant is it?
It’s water resistant to 50 meters, but Zeppelin advises against wearing it in the shower or tub, or swimming in the ocean with it.
