U-Boat Profondo 10001 Limited Edition 3600/A brings a genuine meteorite insert to an aged three-level dial inside a substantial titanium case.
At 6 o’clock, a small piece of meteorite gives the deep-sea design a connection to space. It sits within a three-level metal dial that is aged and oxidized by hand, giving the surface an uneven, weathered appearance. Beige Super-LumiNova on the metal hands, numerals, and hour markers stands out against the weathered surface, giving the hands and markings a clear outline.
The 46 mm titanium case is 27 mm thick, with a 9.7 mm optical sapphire lens over the dial. An anti-reflective coating helps keep that thick crystal clear to read. U-Boat tests the watch to withstand pressure equivalent to a depth of 10,001 meters. A screw-down crown, unidirectional bezel, and automatic helium valve at 3 o’clock complete its diving construction, while the titanium back closes with the Locking Ring System.
A Sellita SW200 automatic movement, modified to U-Boat’s specifications, displays hours, minutes, and seconds. It has 26 jewels, a 41-hour power reserve, and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a custom skeletonized metal rotor to wind the movement as the wrist moves.
Production is limited to 50 watches. Made in Italy, this edition comes on an aged leather strap handcrafted and hand-painted by Tuscan artisans. The strap measures 22 mm at both ends and closes with a 22 mm titanium pin buckle. An additional titanium bracelet is included as an alternative to the leather strap, matching the metal of the case.
