The 41 mm Victorinox I.N.O.X. Quartz pairs a sunray blue dial with a case and bezel finished in gold PVD.
Sunray dial, date at 6
Fine radial lines give the blue dial a metallic sheen that shifts with the light. The date sits at 6 o’clock. Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes helps you read the time in low light.
Gold PVD case and bezel
PVD bonds a thin, hard gold-colored coating to the steel in a vacuum chamber. Victorinox mixes gold powder into the coating and says the finish lasts longer than gold plating. The case also has double shock protection.

Victorinox introduced the I.N.O.X. in 2014 and built it to pass 130 endurance tests, from a 10-meter drop to a 64-ton tank driving over the watch. The name comes from inox, French shorthand for stainless steel. The same word gave Victorinox the second half of its name in 1921.
The details
The Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date beneath a sapphire crystal.
The stainless steel case with gold PVD measures 41 mm across and 12 mm thick. The crown screws down, and the case back screws in. Water resistance is rated at 200 meters, enough for scuba diving.
The blue rubber strap, 21 mm at the lugs, fastens with a pin buckle. The watch is made in Switzerland.

Can I swim or dive with it?
Yes. It is water resistant to 200 meters, which Victorinox rates for scuba diving. Keep the crown screwed down, never unscrew it underwater, and rinse the watch in fresh water after swimming in the ocean.
How do I set the date?
Unscrew the crown, pull it out one click, and turn it until the right date appears. Then push it in and screw it down. Avoid setting the date between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m., when the date mechanism is engaged.
How does it differ from V242088?
V242088 has a steel case with a gold-tone bezel. Both have a blue dial and a blue rubber strap, and both are 41 mm across.
How long does the battery last?
About two years. Victorinox uses a mercury-free battery and recommends having it replaced at an authorized service center.
How durable is the crystal?
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
