From Ibach-Schwyz to Delémont
Victorinox traces its roots to 1884, when Karl Elsener opened a cutler’s workshop in Ibach-Schwyz. Since 2016, the company has designed, engineered, and assembled its watches at the Watch Competence Center in Delémont, where every watch is individually tested for water resistance.
The details
The Swiss Ronda 215 solar quartz movement powers the hours, minutes, seconds, and date beneath a sapphire crystal.
The 316L stainless steel case measures 39 mm across and 11 mm thick, and the watch weighs 101 grams. The case back screws in. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, enough for swimming and snorkeling.
The rubber strap comes in a gray Victorinox calls Storm. It is 21 mm at the lugs and fastens with a deployant clasp. The watch is made in Switzerland.

What happens if I leave it in a drawer?
A full charge keeps it going for up to 8 months in total darkness. If it stops, a minute of sunlight restarts it. Victorinox advises against leaving it in the dark for long periods.
Can I swim with it?
Yes. It is water resistant to 100 meters, which Victorinox rates for swimming and snorkeling but not for scuba diving. Keep the crown fully pushed in, and rinse the watch in fresh water after swimming in the ocean.
How does it differ from V242054?
V242054 has a matte black dial and a black rubber strap. Both share the 39 mm case and the Ronda 215 solar movement, and both weigh 101 grams.
How durable is the crystal?
Sapphire’s hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale makes it highly resistant to everyday scratches. It can still be scratched by harder materials, and a hard impact can chip or crack it, especially at an edge.
