Overview
Montegrappa Elmo Ambiente Ocean reinterprets the Elmo fountain pen in lathe-turned blue recycled resin. Created with Smile Plastics, a studio specializing in architectural surfaces, the design uses reclaimed plastic to make the material itself part of the collection's environmental theme.
The same approach extends to the recycled packaging and accessories. A reconstituted-leather pen cover, textile case, and recycled-paper notebook accompany the pen. These materials were developed with Arbos, the Vicenza craft paper mill certified as a B Corporation.
The fountain pen has a stainless steel nib, accepts ink cartridges or a converter for bottled ink, and closes with a screw-on cap. A converter is included.
Made in Italy, it measures 141.5 mm capped, with a barrel diameter of 14.6 mm and weighs 24.5 g.
