The Atlantic line recalls the transatlantic crossings the airships pioneered, and holds its dials to the essential: the reading first, the ornament after. This one holds the dial to hours, minutes, sweep seconds and the calendar, with the index track as the only ornament. The case measures 41 mm in stainless steel, 13 mm deep.
The Miyota 8205 winds itself from the motion of the wrist and runs 42 hours.
The dial is beige. It is worn on brown leather.

What is the Atlantic line about?
The transatlantic crossings the airships pioneered. The brief is a dial you read in one glance, so the line keeps the index track clean and puts the calendar where it does the least visual damage.
What is K1 mineral glass?
A hardened mineral glass whose surface is chemically strengthened, which lifts its scratch resistance well above ordinary mineral crystal while keeping the give that stops it shattering on a knock.
How long does it run off the wrist?
The mainspring holds 42 hours once it is fully wound, so the watch keeps running through a night in a drawer and is still going the next day. Past that it stops and asks for winding or wearing.
Who makes the movement?
Miyota, the movement arm of Citizen in Japan. Its automatic calibres are among the most widely used in the world, which makes them cheap to service and easy to find parts for decades on.
