The iconic Pelikan M1000 is a fountain pen that not only stands out for its elegant design and exceptional craftsmanship, but also for its impressive size. Pelikan now introduces the new Pelikan M1000 Renaissance Brown.
The Pelikan M1000 emerges as a true masterpiece in the universe of fountain pens, capturing attention with its imposing presence and impeccable performance. In the past, we have discussed the differences between the Pelikan M400, M600, and M800. Today, we delve into the world of the M1000.
The Pelikan M1000 was first introduced in 1997. At that time, it stood out for being the largest fountain pen in Pelikan's lineup. Its launch was significant as it directly competed with another prestigious model in the luxury pen market: the Montblanc Meisterstück 149.
When the M1000 hit the market, models were offered in two main colors: entirely black and green striped. Additionally, the M1050 model was also available, characterized by its vermeil-style cap, adding an extra touch of elegance.
Despite several releases, the M1000 has had fewer editions than any other model, making Pelikan M1000 releases even more unique and elegant. Over time, the Pelikan M1000 has gained recognition and admiration among collectors and fountain pen enthusiasts. Its distinctive design, high-quality construction, and, above all, the quality of its nib have made it a highly appreciated choice.
The true difference between this model and the rest lies in the nib. Its size is larger and provides a very smooth writing experience; many enthusiasts recommend using an F nib, as it is a soft and elastic nib, considered 'broad', allowing for a greater variety of strokes and a more dynamic writing experience.
In addition to its size, the nib of the M1000 is designed with meticulous attention to detail. It is made of high-quality materials and undergoes rigorous quality controls to ensure optimal performance.
The latest release from the brand is a renaissance in a new size. Previously available in the M800 size, this pen pays homage to the masters of that fascinating era.
With an acrylic body weighing 33 grams and measuring 14.5cm in length (closed), this pen is cherished for its stunning pearlescent effects, combined with brown and cream tones, and a very large piston filling system with a 2.0 ml ink capacity.
The fountain pen comes in an elegant Pelikan box with a synthetic leather case to protect the pen, adding the finishing touch to this incredible piece.
