ROAMER’s story began 1888 in Solothurn where founder Fritz Meyer set out to create a robust yet elegant watch, a precious accessory that everyone would love to own. Over the years, Roamer has earned a strong reputation for its highly functional timepieces.
Over the years, Roamer earns an excellent reputation for its high quality timepieces as well as for its innovative spirit in terms of social welfare. In 1944, the son of the founder, Ernst Meyer, opened the Roamer-Haus, a workers welfare center for the 1200 employees.
Today ROAMER produces its own watches in Switzerland and ensures quality throughout the whole process.
ROAMER watches are made for generations: as a gift from a father to his son or from a son to his father. Our collection also features beautiful models for ladies as well!

Audience 1: Male – AGE 18-45
> This is the strongest group that is mainly interested in our more sporty and eye-catching Chronographs and Skeleton models but also our C-Line Collection
Audience 2: Male – AGE 45-65
> Elegant and classic automatic watches are the main interest of this group. many of these consumer now already know ROAMER from the past and cherish the quality and designs of our brand
Audience 3: Ladies – AGE 18+
> For the modern and sophisticated female audience our large collection features beautiful and classic feminine watches with great details.
As a SWISS MADE brand of course SWITZERLAND is still the homeland – but as an international brand we also have a great reputation in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
I don’t like the word “competitor” – we in the watch business are all a big family ☺ But to answer your question: ROAMER is to name such brands as Raymond Weil, Frederique Constant, Longines, Tissot etc.
We have different best-sellers in our collection – but for the time being our COMPETENCE SKELETON Collection is definitely the most famous one.
Depending on the taste and style you prefer – both brands stand for high quality and are SWISS MADE. ROAMER is the right choice for the consumer who wants a modern luxury watch brand developed over many generations.
My personal favourite is and still will be our beautiful SEAROCK Automatic. This is such a nice and timeless watch you can wear casually or formally – it always fits and frequently I am getting great comments on it!
COVID has changed the whole planet and of course also the watch industry! Every business has to re-think certain strategies and internal workflows in order to adapt to the time “after COVID”. Unfortunately the pandemic situation has erased many companies and watch brands but I strongly believe that the business who went through COVID and “survived” will come stronger than ever.
We at ROAMER took the opportunity to review and consider the best way forward – but standing in front of two options: hide & wait or stand strong and act! We chose the second option and were delighted to introduce a great collection in 2021 (which has been extremely well received and with sell-out higher than even in 2019) alongside other innovations including the 7 year warranty on all our watches.
