Just a few days ago, we were enjoying Baselworld 2018, where we got to know from first hand some of the watchmaking news that we will be able to enjoy during 2018 and, this bring us many surprises!
Today we want to share with you all a small summary about watchmaking news by Maurice Lacroix, they made a huge effort in their recognized line: Aikon.
Maurice Lacroix expands and renovate their ladies´ watches, both in Eliros and Aikon lines.
Eliros line comes with a new 35 mm model that has moonphase, white lacquered or white mother-of-pearl dial, index of diamonds, easy strap exchange with leather strap in different colours or 9 rows metal band.
The Aikon Ladies collection is expanded with three new quartz watches with the blue iconic brand color in the dial in 35 mm.
Maurice Lacroix´s huge effort in 2018 has come with the addition of the automatic watch to this Aikon collection and in several models.
The Aikon Gents automatic watch features ML 115 movement (based in SW-200 caliber), with 42 mm. diameter case, an ergonomic design and comfort to fit in any wrist.

Aikon Gents’ dial features brushed finishing in three colors: blue, silver or black. Both 9 rows metal band and leather strap (blue, brown or black) features double deployment buckle with easy strap exchange system.
The new Aikon Chronograph automatic watches have 44 mm diameter, 15 mm height and 20 ATM case. The movement ML 112 (based in ETA 7750) allows each automatic watch features some functions like a small second hand at 9 o’clock, Chronograph second indicated by central hand, 30 minute Chronograph counter at 12 o’clock and day and date at 3 o’clock.
The dial features soleil brushed and polished rings, is available in three different colors: black, blue or silver with blue rings.
Aikon Chronograph automatic watch is completed with a limited edition of 500 pieces made in anthracite and PVD. Also in 44 mm, this limited edition features ML 157 (based in ETA 7750) which allows a day and date function at 4,30 o’clock.
It’s available in grey calf leather strap with easy strap exchange system and a PVD butterfly closure.
MAURICE LACROIX AIKON CHRONOGRAPH LIMITED EDITION FEATURES:
But without a doubt the great novelty and more impressive piece that we find this year in Maurice Lacroix is its new Aikon Skeleton automatic watch, with manufactured movement.
It's box, elaborated in polished stainless steel , has a diameter of 45 mm. and a sapphire crystal that allows to see all the elements of the manufactured caliber ML 234, appreciating also those elements that are elaborated in DLC, like the main bridge. It has a power reserve of 52 hours, seconds at 3 o'clock, and rhodium-plated hands plated in Super Luminova white.
This new Maurice Lacroix Aikon Skeleton automatic watch comes with a black alligator leather strap with an easy-change system and a steel butterfly closure.
RETROGRADE CALENDAR FOR THE MASTERPIECE COLLECTION
The Masterpiece collection also presents novelties, including its already recognized retrograde calendar in one of its star models of this collection, the Square Wheel, and will be available in four manufactured automatic watches with a very attractive price for any lover.
