This is my third Junghans Max Bill, and it has solved every issue that had previously prevented them from being my daily driver.

It's the same stunning design, this time with a sapphire crystal and titanium case making the materials a huge upgrade from my previous ones. I love the 'soft grey', which now has the date dial's tone match that of the main dial (why that wasn't the case with the previous off-white models, I've no idea).

The radio controlled movement is a substantial improvement over the traditional quartz as it removes the need to worry about changing the date on months not ending on 31, and not have to worry about day-light saving times. Changing time zones is also very simple and quick.

The solar power sourcing should prove to be a big improvement over a battery, although obviously I can't speak to how the watch will hold up over ten/twenty years or whatnot.

Best in class design, materials, technology... It's a perfect daily driver.

My only complaint is that traditional watch buckles just suck, but I swapped it out for a quick release clasp so that's a non-issue after a cheap upgrade.

This Junghans Max Bill hits all the features that I wanted, titanium, 38mm, solar, radio-controlled and most importantly sapphire crystal.
